So you have to go and mess up a game that was going perfectly fine. Sure, the Yankees were losing, but I'd rather have the Yankees lose without any conflict then have this kind of crap going on the field. If I was Sheffield, I would have taken that ball and thrown it at your face, and hope that it would bash your nose right into your brain. Well, maybe not that bad, but my point is, the ball would be in your face. That kind of crap is uncalled for, if it was a Yankee fan that did it to a Red Sox player, I would be just as pissed. It's a
game, nothing more, nothing less. You don't hit a guy in the face because you don't like the team. Lay off the booze and enjoy the game, don't act like an asshole.
Though I am a Yankee fan (obviously), this post isn't bashing anyone but that one asshole fan, who screwed it up for everyone. Good thing Sheff held back, I could see him severly hurting that guy. Boston's security was on the ball on this one, so nice job to them.
This stuff's gotta stop, I'm sure many agree, even Boston fans... it's baseball, not boxing.
Of course, this is what the media shows... thanks ESPN.
Caption: "Gary Sheffield takes a swipe at a Boston fan in the 8th inning."That's it for now. Later.
